Is K West Hotel in London dodgy?

My Boyfriend has spoken to someone who knows London well and people that have stayed there, and reckons there's some funny goings on there?Is K West Hotel in London dodgy?
Not rated well on reviews ('a 4 star hotel, but it's more like in the 3 star catagory and charging 5 star prices') and the area is one well known for escort services working from small flats. But you will survive.Is K West Hotel in London dodgy?

Here are reviews from people who have stayed there. Sounds like it's trying to be pretentious and just coming off as rude.
I stayed there. It is fine, all white furniture and quite trendy with a nice bar. It is also close to the new gigantic mall Westfield
