I just want to know if I will waste too much time on driving. Is that okay to live in West Yellowstone hotels for my 4-days-and-3-nights trip in Yellowstone Park?
Yeah, it is ok if you like it. I was there last summer, camping. You will have to put in a couple of hours driving to get to some of the attractions, and a couple of hours back, which will burn up some time but you will get to see the countryside.
Just make sure you see things like Madison hot springs, Firehole River, Old Faithful, and Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. You will see lots of wildlife, and get to the hear the rangers preach about how great the wolves are, blah, blah, blah. If you are lucky, you will see wolves, river otters, or grizzly bear.
A trip down to Grand Tetons is well worth the drive also, in my opinion. Actually, I used to work in Yellowstone so I know the good places. Be sure to consider taking the little side roads because there are really cool things to see in them
Good luck, my friend. I hope you remember it for a lifetime. :)Is that okay to live in West Yellowstone hotels for my 4-days-and-3-nights trip in Yellowstone Park?
You are better off not going to yellow stone at all. It is a massive volcano about to erupt. The General public isn't aware of this problem because the Government needs the revenue it makes off of the park.
Why go to see the most spectacular wilderness and sleep in motels? and you would spend much of your time driving!I was there a few years ago for a week and still didn't see everything! We slept in a tent and cooked our meals on the coals after the fire died down! It was wonderful! And we only saw one bear!
