Can anyone recommend a London hotel on a budget with easy access to west end?

will pay upto 拢100 for one night but cheaper the better.when i search different sites they always throw up hotels that are like 20miles out and I don't know London. I'm happy to get the tube around but want to be within easy access of tourist attractions including the west end.Can anyone recommend a London hotel on a budget with easy access to west end?

Earls Court and Paddington are on the border of what would be considered central london, Pimlico is within central London proper and walking distance to Buckingham palace.

Also note that travelodge covent garden is the same as travelodge holborn, two hotels but sistered to each other a few yards apart.
We stayed recently at the Travellodge in Covent Garden - could walk to most places and handy for Bloomsbury and the British Museum, as well as Piccadilly, Leicester and Trafalgar Squares and Buckingham Palace.

Hope that helps

I always use http://www.londontown.com . Some of their deals are amazing and I find the descriptions quite accurate. My best deal through them was a night at the Lancaster Gate Thistle for 拢60, reduced from 拢227.
There are many hotels in the Victoria area of London where prices are less than 拢100. They tend to be pretty basic, though.
