I'm wanting to stay at a hotel on 125 WEST 26TH STREET . Is this a good location to Times Square and Broadway?

Also, is it way to cold to walk around in February or March?I'm wanting to stay at a hotel on 125 WEST 26TH STREET . Is this a good location to Times Square and Broadway?
it's cold, but not usually oppressively cold in Feb or March in NYC, but be prepared anyway. we all still need to walk around no matter how cold it gets! i know the location, and the area is fine for all kinds of shopping nearby, but a little off the way from Times Square.

all you have to do is walk to 6th Avenue, then up to 34th Street / Broadway, then up Bway to Times Square. it will take only about 15-20 minutes, and you will pass by Macy's, a huge department store that is one of the most famous stores in NYC.I'm wanting to stay at a hotel on 125 WEST 26TH STREET . The Holiday Inn.

It's a nice brisk walk but it is doable from where you are to Times Square and Broadway.

And if the weather is just THAT cold to walk the distance, from where you are, go down three blocks on 6th Avenue to 23rd Street where you can get the ';F'; or ';V'; (uptown) subway to 34th Street. Then you can transfer for the ';N';. ';Q, ';R'; or ';W'; (uptown) trains which will take you directly to Times Square and Broadway
ALl those tall buildings in Manhattan will protect you somewhat from the bitter cold winds..and don't be afraid to get out and experience walking around there. Much to see that you can;t get from taking a cab.
