How to get from my Hotel to West Lake in Hangzhou?

I'm staying in Hangzhou China for three weeks. And I have been told West Lake is about 35min from my hotel, New Century Grand Hotel Hangzhou. address: 818 Middle Shxin Road, Xiaoshan, Hangzhou. I'm looking to see what buses go to West Lake which I could take from my hotel. Also to see how much a taxi would be if I was to hire them all day, if that is possible. Please help, as I have been told all the tourist spots are around the Lake and I would really love to go.

Also trying to see if there is a tour guide in Hangzhou which can help me get around and how much would that cost me.

Thank you all for your help. How to get from my Hotel to West Lake in Hangzhou?

Shaoshan is on the other side of Qiantang River, you have to take a cab to get to West Lake. There may be buses to get you there, since you don't speak Chinese, I suggest that you not to try.

Hangzhou is not big, it won't cost you too much for taking taxis. Yes, most of the tourist spots are around the lake, you don't need to hire a cab for the day, if you really want to, it costs about CNY 400-500 for a day. I suggest that you take a cab to anywhere around the lake, and you can get to most of the places by foot. There are also electrical cars circling the areas, for a fee.

I don't know the cost of hiring a English tour guide. Some tourist places, like LinYin Temple, Hupao (Tiger Run), there are guides for hire at the ticket office.
why don't you google it? if you're chinese or speak chinese, it should be really easy. China's bustling with people desparate for a tourist that would pay them to show them around
