Im going to florida in april and the cheapest flights I found were to West Palm Beach. I just want to stay in a cheap hotel that a taxi can take me to, that is also a walking distance to the beach. There's a whole bunch of motels along Federal Highway (US 1), south of
Southern Blvd to Lake Worth Road. However, they are not in walking distance to the beach (a walk might take you 1/2 an hour). Otherwise, consider staying
in a motel in Lake Worth near the Intracoastal. Ten minute walk over a bridge to the beach. There are bus shuttles from the airport to all destinations in the area.
Buses run ($ 1.50 one way).
My best suggestion for you is to google the Palm Beach County website and search out hotels/motels; then Google Earth them.
Under no circumstances should you venture north to lets say ';Riviera Beach';
on Federal Highway. A very bad area.

All the beaches are beautiful. There is nothing wrong with Riviera Beach. There are beautiful hotels heading East on Blue Heron near Singer Island. The beach will be right in your backyard. Riviera Beach has been stereotyped by cowards who have never been to actually see how nice it is for themselves. West Palm is beautiful. Period. Trust me, I ahve been living here for almost 20 years
